Streaks are Fragile. Rhythms are Resilient.

Growth that compounds quietly, like a well-watered garden.

Spiritual disciplines are places of rest for the spiritually exhausted.

We don't practice biblical habits to make God love us. We practice them because He already does.

Escape the Tyranny of the Streak

Most apps treat habits like productivity hacks, punishing failure with broken streaks. But your spiritual life isn't a factory line; it's a garden. Your progress is cumulative. Miss a day? Your garden simply waits for you to return to it.

Habits of Declared Weakness

Holy Habits aren't about becoming more impressive or earning God's favor. They are simply opportunities to stop our endless doing, wave the white flag, and position ourselves to be loved by our Maker.

God Doesn't Think You're Behind

In a culture obsessed with optimization, we prioritize reverence over rigor. Grace is already here. These twelve ancient rhythms simply help you slow down enough to notice it — and stay.

Abide in me, and I in you… that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
John 15:4-5, 11 (ESV)

Transformed by Beholding

Your garden grows as you behold Him.

We all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another.
2 Corinthians 3:18 (ESV)

Not through impressive spiritual performance, but through disciplined attention—habits that help you look at Jesus.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Bearing Fruit experience.

Most apps reward streaks and punish failure. Bearing Fruit uses cumulative growth, so missing a day never resets your progress. Rhythms reflect grace: practice, stumble, return. It's about abiding, not achieving.
As you practice, the trees in your garden grow through stages (Seed → Sprout → Sapling → and beyond). Growth is cumulative — based on total practices, not consecutive days — so missing a day never sets you back. There are 12 trees in total, one for each Holy Habit.
Absolutely not. The 12 habits reflect the breadth of Christian formation — you don't need to explore them all at once. Start with one or two rhythms, then add more over time as you're ready.
This app is for any Christian. While inspired by the Holy Habits sermon series at The Austin Stone, the 12 disciplines are rooted in historic Christian orthodoxy — grace-dependent, Jesus- and Scripture-centered — and practiced across traditions.
Bearing Fruit is completely free to use. After 7 days, we may invite support if it's serving you. Giving is optional and honor-based ($3, $7, $15/month, or custom), and you are never blocked from using the app.
Just a few minutes a day is enough to start — 3 to 5, or longer when you have margin. Formation is slow, quiet work, not a performance. The app is designed to fit an ordinary day, not demand a heroic one.
Your notes and prayers stay on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers. We only collect non-identifiable usage data to improve the app.
